The award-winning Kynren – An Epic Tale of England closed its 2024 season with an epic firework finale and standing ovation on Saturday 14th September.
Kynren’s last show of 2024 saw a tremendous applause from the audience and the 1,000-strong cast and crew’s emotions were palpable as they celebrated the final performance of the production’s ninth year.
Anna Warnecke, CEO of Kynren said: “Our final show of 2024 was amazing, and the audience clearly agreed! We are so grateful to everyone involved in Kynren and Saturday’s show was testament to the time and effort they have devoted to the 2024 season.
“Reviews from Kynren over the summer have been fantastic and we’re beyond thankful to the thousands of people who have watched myths and legends come to life here in Bishop Auckland. We hope to see new and returning audiences in 2025 for the tenth year of Kynren!” Anna added.
The Bishop Auckland based outdoor spectacular wowed audiences throughout their summer season which began on Saturday 27th July, taking place weekly on Saturday evenings.
Visitors in 2024 were also the first to discover the immersive magic of the new Viking Village. Guests witnessed Nordic warriors prepare for a raid as other inhabitants went about their day harvesting veg, tending to livestock and creating armour in the working blacksmith’s forge.
