Kynren Launches New Coach Initiative for 2024

Published : 02 May, 2024

The multi-award winning outdoor live theatre event, Kynren - An Epic Tale of England, has launched a new initiative to make travelling to the show by coach even easier this year.

Working with multiple coach companies and tour operators across the county, Kynren has created an interactive map which shows the current coach pick-up points across the UK.

Available on its website, Kynren's coach map enables prospective visitors to find the closest tour operator and its respective coach stop, alongside the additional search option of entering the closest town and setting the radius to view all the coach companies and pick-up points in that area.

Over 200 coach stops are currently available on the map, with locations ranging from Portsmouth and Brighton in the south, to Cambridge and Ipswich in the east, plus Swansea and Newport in Wales.

Anna Warnecke, Kynren's CEO said: "It's been fantastic working with coach companies and tour operators who have planned day trips and short-breaks including a visit to Kynren to set up this new offering.

"It's been designed to make the process so much easier for those wishing to book a coach trip and enjoy the delights of Kynren as part of this.

"We always want to make sure that Kynren is an inclusive experience, and this new function will make it more accessible for solo travellers, families and groups across the UK to organise their excursion."

Performed by a 1,000-strong volunteer cast and crew on a seven-and-a-half-acre outdoor stage in County Durham, Kynren is a spectacular re-telling of 2,000 years of English history.

Set against the magnificent backdrop of Auckland Castle, Kynren transports audiences on a spellbinding voyage through history, myth and legend and features daring stunts, state-of-the-art special effects, fireworks and evocative orchestral music.

The multi-award-winning shows run on Saturday nights from 27th July to 14th September, and each 90-minute performance starts at sunset and ends in starlight.
