At Kynren, our 1,000-strong team of dedicated volunteers is the heart of our spectacular performances. Affectionately known as ‘Archers,’ these passionate individuals bring every scene to life with energy and commitment. Without them, Kynren simply wouldn’t be the same.
If you’ve ever thought about becoming an Archer, now’s your chance! We are currently welcoming new volunteers to be part of our incredible 2025 season. Whether you’re eager to perform on stage, assist with technical production, care for animals, or greet visitors, there’s a role for everyone. Volunteers also have the chance to learn unique skills such as combat choreography and diving, making this a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
Who We’re Looking For
As we prepare for another breathtaking season, we’re particularly looking to fill the following volunteer roles:
- Visitor Experience Team – If you have a welcoming smile and enjoy making people feel at home, this role is perfect for you. Our Visitor Experience volunteers help create unforgettable experiences for our audiences.
- Male Cast Members – Whether you’re a seasoned performer or trying something new, we need enthusiastic male cast members to bring our historic tales to life.
- Safety Divers and Surface Support – This is an exciting and crucial behind-the-scenes role! If you're a qualified diver, you can join our team ensuring the safety of performers and delivering spectacular on-stage moments. If you're not yet qualified, you can spend a season as a rescue swimmer before we pay for and support you through your dive qualifications. For experienced divers who can no longer physically dive, we also have essential surface support supervisory roles that allow you to contribute your expertise without getting in the water.
Over 95% of our volunteers return year after year, a testament to the incredible sense of belonging and camaraderie within the Kynren community. Many describe it as a life-changing experience. One long-time Archer shared, "Being part of Kynren has given me a sense of purpose and belonging like nothing else. The friendships I’ve made here will last a lifetime." Another volunteer added, "I never imagined myself performing in front of thousands, but Kynren gave me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and do something truly incredible."
