Join us for an evening of first class entertainment for all the family!

Due to the anticipated popularity of this event, seats will be sold and allocated on a “first come first served” basis with the best available seat across the entire 8,000-seater Tribune.

As with other town events there are no dedicated car parks in operation on the night of the Pyromusical.

Please park appropriately in the town, and walk or book our shuttle service to our site. We kindly ask you to be considerate of our community’s tranquility and safety and NOT fly park. A limited number of spaces are available in our disabled car park on site, see Accessibility Section for details.

A Shuttle Bus service will be available from Bishop Auckland Bus Station to our site, priced at £2.00 per person for a return journey, subject to availability. Shuttle tickets can only be purchased at the time of booking the event tickets for the pyromusical. Please select the ticket type which includes shuttle bus from the drop down menu on the ticket selection page.

As we continue to navigate government guidance which impact upon our operational requirements we advise that it is your responsibility to check the webiste up to the day of your visit to ensure you have the most up to date times. We will also email the account holder with a confirmation of schedule and any further information which you need ahead of your visit.

Locally sourced food and beverage are available at our Food Court from 4pm until 6.45pm and from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Full details of the offer will be provided shortly.

Access to and within the venue

We suggest that you park in town and walk to the event. Why not enjoy dinner in Bishop Auckland after the show? There are lots of lovely restaurants to be enjoyed.

The town is within walking distance of our show site (0.8 mile). From our venue entrance to our Ticket check, there are 500m on a gently sloped path, but bear in mind the walk back at the end of the evening is uphill.

A Shuttle Bus service will be available from Bishop Auckland Bus Station to our site, priced at £2.00 per person for a return journey, subject to availability. Please note the following:

  • Shuttle Bus tickets must be booked at the same time as your Pyromusical tickets, subject to availability. Guests cannot pay cash on the night of the event.
  • The Shuttle Bus is expected to run -

    • To the event : from 4pm – 5.45pm. You will need to be at the Bus Station by 5.30pm to board the last shuttle or you may be refused boarding.*
      • All guests are advised to allow plenty of time to avail the Shuttle Bus service, as we anticipate a large demand. Guests will be boarded on a first come first served basis.
      *Please check the website prior to your visit in case of operational changes.
    • From the event : from 7.30pm – 8.30pm
    • No Shuttle Bus service will be in operation after 5.45pm until it resumes at about 7.30pm.

From our Ticket check to the Tribune (seating and performance area), there is a 350-meter walk on a mostly flat path for all our guests.

Seating

The Tribune (our seating area) is comprised of 41 rows of standard raked seats, with shallow steps leading to the different sections.

Facilities

The site has a number of park benches; also the Tribune will open when gates open at 4pm, should you wish to take your seats early. You are welcome to get in and out of the Tribune as many times as you wish before the performance starts.

There are are toilet facilities (including baby changing and disabled toilets) on site.

Accessibility

Guests who may not be able to attend the show unaccompanied, or who require a wheelchair space are entitled to one personal assistant ticket at no additional cost.

For our guests who are wheelchair users:there are spaces reserved along the front row at surface level for wheelchair users (tickets require the ticket holder to remain in their wheelchair throughout the performance) and on the front row for their personal assistants. All wheelchair users must be accompanied by a personal assistant, who is eligible for a complimentary admission ticket to sit close to you, on the front row. Tickets for wheelchair users and their parties can only be booked online using this separate link.

For our other guests needing a personal assistant ticket,you can reserve your seats using the general booking system for you and your personal assistant. However you will need to send supporting evidence of your eligibility for a personal assistant complimentary ticket to confirm your booking and avoid your reservation being cancelled and refunded. Please read carefully all details on the Access Confirmation Form here before you book, to check you are eligible and in a position to confirm your booking.

Please note that personal assistants must be able to undertake all access requirements on behalf of their companion. This includes helping their companion down the visitor path, around site and with evacuation of the site if required.

What to wear

The pyromusical experience is an open-air, evening show, so wear something suitably warm and waterproof, as well as shoes you’re happy to walk in.

Your On Site Experience

Food & Drink

The Food Court is located behind the Tribune, where a range of food, snacks and beverages are available to purchase. The offering will be confirmed shortly.

Picnic tables and poseur tables are located in our Food court to enjoy food and drinks purchased on site only. Drinks purchased at the Food Court can be enjoyed at your seats before and during the performance. As food is NOT permitted in the Tribune, it should be consumed before taking your seat. You are allowed to get in and out of the Tribune as many times as you wish before the performance starts.

Food and drinks will not be available to buy from about 10 minutes before the show until the performance ends and there is no interval during the show. Food and drinks will be available to purchase after the show on your way out until 8.30pm.

No food and drink (including water) that you bring with you is allowed to go further than Ticket Check, except baby food or food for medical conditions. You can purchase food and refreshments on site. Tap water is available on site and you can bring empty plastic bottles.

Smoking and Vaping

We have one designated smoking area, this is clearly sign-posted. Smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited elsewhere on site.

Security

To ensure your safety and security during your Musical Fireworks experience, we have comprehensive security measures in place, including bag and belongings search on arrival.

As there are no Left Luggage facilities in the grounds (except for pushchairs, wheelchairs and walking aids), we reserve the right to confiscate any forbidden item at security check; regretfully, confiscated items cannot be returned on exit.
